ISSofBC Logo Rebranding Video Case Study

Since 1968, ISSofBC has helped newcomers to Canada and introduced a new logo in 2024 to modernize the brand. This case study delves into our work for this prominent Canadian government organization assisting immigrants and refugees in British Columbia, highlighting the process of revitalizing their brand through video content.

Over the course of four years, we’ve cultivated a strong partnership with ISSofBC, contributing to various projects like a multi-city documentary on Afghan Culture and content for their JobQuest program.

To encapsulate the organization’s rich history, our approach required a blend of newly captured footage and archival content. By incorporating a mix of imagery spanning decades, from black and white film photographs of immigrants from the organization's inception in 1968 to recent footage we shot in 2023, we crafted a narrative that resonated with the organization's rich history and enduring mission.

Central to the rebranding initiative was the integration of modern and energetic motion graphics. Leveraging the organization's new logo, which symbolizes diversity through its vibrant colors, we used After Effects to create animated text and visuals to breathe life into the narrative. This dynamic approach not only aligned with ISSofBC's core values but also elevated the video's visual appeal, contributing to an engaging and modern aesthetic.

Throughout the production process, clear communication and collaboration were paramount. By creating and having all parties involved approve a Story Outline, we created a solid plan before creating the video. This helped us define the structure of the video and establish alignment with the client's vision and objectives. This transparency facilitated a seamless workflow, ensuring the final product met the organization's expectations.

On a tight timeline, we helped ISSofBC successfully revitalize their brand identity, announcing their updated identity and fostering a deeper connection with the public. By embracing the art of visual storytelling and leveraging motion graphics to bring their story to life, organizations can amplify their message and leave a lasting impression on their audience.
